C.U.E.A. HISTORY

In Easter of 1976 the Waterworks Department Sports Club of Barbados acted as hosts to a group of fellow water employees from Trinidad. This resulted in an enjoyable weekend with activities such as a cricket match, football, an island tour, a beach picnic and a party. In 1977, the Trinidadians reciprocated, acting as hosts to the Barbadians.

In 1989 the now renamed Barbados Water Authority Sports Club, St. Lucia Water and Sewerage Authority Sports Club and Antigua Public Utilities Authority Social and Cultural Club traveled to Grenada to join the Central Water Commission Sports Club for the newly formed Caribbean Public Utilities Employees Association "Easter Frolic". As a consequence, the Association was then launched.
